I started this in a variegated yarn but might look for a plain or tonal yarn as the leaves don't seem to be very defined in this quick colour changing yarn.
Let me see how that works out......:)

Deep Pan Pizza - Instant Gratification!

Craving a homemade pizza but don't have the time to wait for the dough to rest and rise and rest again etc....?
Try this easy n quick deep pan pizza .... my go-to recipe when the kids demand pizza NOW.
Needs just four, yes FOUR, ingredients:

1 1/2 cup       self rising flour,
20 gm            butter,
1 tsp              sugar,
3/4 th cup      milk.
Note: you can make your own self-rising flour by mixing together 1 cup plain flour + 2 tsp baking powder.
I generally substitute 1/2 a cup of the white flour with whole wheat flour hence the darker colour of the base in the pictures below.

So here's what you do.....
Lightly grease a 23 cm springform tin (or use a regular cookie tray like I do).
Mix together the sugar and flour and rub in the butter.
Knead into a soft dough with the milk.
Press over the base of the pan taking it about 1/2 an inch along the sides of the pan.
Spread tomato puree' and toppings of your choice and bake in hot oven for 15 min.
Turn down heat to moderate and bake a further 10 minutes.
You are done!!!!

My rustic pizza......
Slice it up and serve it with a salad (I do that for my kids)....
Or serve it plain.....
Enjoy your meal!! Ciao!!
